Learning paper: What information helps citizens demand accountability and improvements to services?

There has been plenty of discussion in the transparency, participation and accountability (TPA) field on the role that information can – and can’t – play in promoting good governance and helping citizens to successfully make demands of the people and institutions that serve them. But there has been less focus on what kind of information would be most useful in this regard. This learning paper provides a framework for understanding what information would be most helpful to citizens who are demanding accountability.
